DiaMedica Receives $2.7 Million Through Accelerated Warrant Exercise

WINNIPEG, Manitoba - December 28, 2010 – DiaMedica (TSX-V:DMA) today announces, that pursuant to the provision of written notification provided on November 22, 2010 on the accelerated expiry of the warrants issued on June 30, 2010, DiaMedica has received proceeds of approximately $2.7 million resulting from the exercise of approximately 5.4 million warrants.

WINNIPEG, Manitoba - October 27, 2010 – DiaMedica (TSX-V:DMA) today announces that DM-199 has been validated by demonstrating significantly increased insulin sensitivity in animals using the hyperinsulemic euglycemic clamp model. Type 2 diabetes is a severely debilitating condition characterized by high blood sugar primarily due to a decrease in insulin sensitivity, which results in a number health problems including cardiovascular disease.

Mr. Parsons will be assuming the role previously held by Mr. Eric Johnstone. Mr. Parsons has an extensive background in the life sciences industry and over 20 years of finance management experience. He was previously the Chief Financial Officer for both private and public life science companies including Amorfix Life Sciences, Trillium Therapeutics and Lorus Therapeutics.

Dr. Giuffre is a Clinical Professor of Cardiac Sciences and Pediatrics at the University of Calgary. Dr Giuffre is currently a member on the board’s of the Alberta Medical Association and Unicef Canada. He is a past representative to the board of the Calgary Health Region and is an active participant in the biotechnology business sector.

DiaMedica Announces Autoimmune Program with Positive Rheumatoid Arthritis Results

WINNIPEG, Manitoba - July 28, 2010 – DiaMedica Inc., (TSX-V:DMA) today announces the initiation of the Company’s autoimmune program with the success of DM-99 for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases.

DM-99 was found to reduce joint swelling by up to 90% (p<0.001) in a collagen induced animal model of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) during the peak of the disease. A single dose of the protein DM-99 administered at the first signs of RA symptoms delayed the onset and severity of the disease.

The recently announced Sanomune acquisition allows DiaMedica to expand into Type 1 diabetes. The initiation of this program is based on encouraging preclinical results with DM-99, a naturally occurring protein that the company has previously shown to have clinical efficacy for Type 2 diabetes.

TORONTO, ON, June 30, 2010 – Therapure Biopharma Inc. today announced an agreement under which Therapure will provide development services for DiaMedica Incorporated, a biopharmaceutical company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Under the terms of the agreement, Therapure will provide cell line development and protein production services to support clinical development for one of DiaMedica’s products, a protein which may be used for the treatment of diabetes and neurological disorders.
